The Town of Milford, NH is seeking qualified applicants to
fill the position of F/T Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer to
perform skilled, specialized, professional inspection, administration and
enforcement work in securing compliance with adopted residential building
construction; mechanical, electrical and plumbing codes; zoning
ordinances, subdivision regulations; health codes; and other rules that
pertain to residential one and two-family development. This position also
provides back-up to commercial inspections and code enforcement.
BS degree in Engineering or Architecture preferred or at
least four years of experience in professional construction,
architectural, or inspection work; or equivalent combination of education
and experience demonstrating possession of the required knowledge, skills
and abilities. Considerable knowledge of State statutes, regulations, and
codes relating to building, housing, zoning, sanitation, and public safety
is required. The position requires strong written and oral communication
skills, excellent customer-service skills, and strong computer skills
(WORD, data entry, etc.) This is an exempt position within the Town's
compensation structure and comes with full benefits package.
